The legend started back in 97' and hasn't stopped since. Brothers Ken and Dennis Rath from Long Island, New York purchased what was once know as Hineline's Meats and Provisions on July 1st, 1997 with a vision of taking their extensive knowledge of Butchering and Cooking they had learned from their time at their Father's Butcher Shop and turning their family name into a household commodity in the surrounding area. And they did just that. 

Fast forward 20 years later and the Brothers sell the business to longtime employee of theirs, Matt Johnson, who takes over operations in February 2017.

Matt was hired in June 2007 and worked his way up to Head Butcher in 2009 where he worked along side and learned from both Ken and Dennis what it takes to run and operate smoothly a successful business. He graduated with honors at East Stroudsburg University in 2012 with a B.A Degree in Communications. Since then, he worked full-time at Rath's and gained as much business experience as possible which allowed for him and his business partners Chris Hull, Mike Pinola, and Scott Bermingham to purchase the business in February 2017. Since then, Matt and the group has worked diligently to expand the business into different areas and promote growth of the meat industry. Rath's now provides to local restaurants, attends local events, donates to local causes, provides fair & honest pricing on high quality meats & products, and serves to the best customers that we could ever ask for!

Our mission is to provide our customers with an extraordinary experience every time they come through our doors. We want to provide you with the freshest and highest quality meats, sandwiches, and other products so that you will never have to second guess the products that you bring home. We want to bring back that old time feel of going to the local butcher shop, knowing and interacting with your butchers and servers, and establish a long-time bond between us and our customers. Most of all, we want to serve you in anyway we possibly can to make sure that you have the finest and best experience at our shop.
